Remediation with FORAGER® absorbents is efficient and cost effective. Removal of most contaminants to less than 1PPB levels is possible without large capital outlays for equipment. The cost of removal and disposal of pollutants is lower than costs associated with competing technologies.

FORAGER® Type M polymer in a granular or sponge form which selectively absorbs dissolved metals by way of chelation and complexation mechanisms.
In contact times of 1 – 3 minutes, 85+% removals are achievable. Species such as mercury, lead, cadmium, copper, zinc, chromium and nickel can be removed to concentrations below 1 ppb, even in the presence of chelating agents such as EDTA. The granular product is utilized in cartridge, tank and sand bed filters to remediate industrial wastewater, ground water, landfill leachate and mine effluents.
A related polymer, designated Type M-TU produces higher efficiences of heavy metal removal than Type M, and in shorter contact time.
FORAGER® Sponge is an open celled sponge in the form of half inch cubes containing Type M or Type M-TU polymers. The Sponge can be confined in elongated fishnet bags installable within effluent-conveying conduits. A bed of the Sponge confined within a fishnet bag or otherwise deployed, has extremely low impedance to flow, and is relatively unaffected by suspended matter. Accordingly, the Sponge finds use in gravity flow operations and in-situ installations.
